Message from the President

Dear Friends,

The past quarter has been quite interesting with many festivals being celebrated and many activities being carried out, which kept the children quite engaged. This was followed by the summer break which the children eagerly looked forward to. The entire staff looks forward to hearing the vacation experiences of the children, something they do every time they come back from a long break.
I am also happy to share that the work on the Residential project is progressing well.
We obtained the electricity connection from the electricity board and also installed a submersible water pump at the site. We now have legal access to both power and water, the two essential public utilities.
We had started construction of the boundary wall sometime back, which is now nearing completion. This was our immediate focus area as it was important to secure the property.
The architect for designing the facility has also been finalized with the contract having been released. The designing work has started and we shall be getting the first layout proposal soon.
At the same time, we continue to make our efforts for raising funds for the project. Proposals have been submitted to many organizations. Going by their first response, we are hopeful of a positive outcome from at least some of them.

I look forward to your continued support.
With best wishes,b

Rakesh Jinsi

Success Story

Rishabh Baghel was 5 years old when he joined Khushboo. He was diagnosed with Global Development Delay (GDD). At the time of admission, his parents complained that he was unable to speak, fully dependent on his parents for Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and behavior issues.

After detailed assessment by our multidisciplinary team, a management plan was developed for him by our Occupational Therapist and his Class teacher. This program was also explained to his parents as it needed their cooperation as well.  He was put on Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Special Education routine.

Now he is able to speak words like bBall dedo, Pani dedo, Mummy aajab.  His sitting has improved. He has also started to eat on his own and hitting & pitching to others has reduced significantly.  He has started to go to the toilet with partial help. He has started tracing and coloring.
